Graduate School Meets Postgraduate Students

[Friday, 14th March 2025] In a time marked by digital and geographical disparity, the Daystar University Graduate School hosted a virtual meeting with postgraduate students to deconstruct and interpret the Postgraduate Handbook into simpler terms that can be easily comprehended by the students.

[Friday, 14th March 2025] In a time marked by digital and geographical disparity, the Daystar University Graduate School hosted a virtual meeting with postgraduate students to deconstruct and interpret the Postgraduate Handbook into simpler terms that can be easily comprehended by the students.
The meeting, facilitated by the Director of Graduate School Sr. Prof. A. L. Lando, was a follow up to the Vice Chancellor’s physical meeting with postgraduate students held at Main Campus Athi River on 8th March 2025.
Key topics covered during the session included:
- Course Registration
- Examination Regulation for Master’s students
- Thesis and Dissertation Supervision
- Requirements Before Submission and oral Examination of Thesis and Dissertation
- Citation and Referencing
- Clearance Process on TMS (Thesis Management System) Entails allocation of supervisor, Proposal Defense application and a graduate student tracking system which will be integrated into the university ERP system in order to maintain an accurate and easily retrievable record of the progress of each graduate student.

- Plagiarism
The Director of Graduate School, Sr. Prof. A. L. Lando, brook down the information into simple terms that could be easily understood by the students and answered the questions in a well detailed manner.
The virtual meeting was a success; it enabled the Graduate School to conduct an awareness session on critical matters related to Postgraduate study at Daystar University.
The Postgraduate students left the meeting better enlightened and ready to navigate their journey with ease.
