[Athi River, Tuesday March 4, 2025]  Daystar University is evaluating the outcomes of two capacity-building Grand Academic Writing Seminars.

The Professional Certificate in Postgraduate Instructional Seminar was held at the Travellers Hotel Mombasa in two phases namely Travellers 1 which took place from 19th to 29th March 2023, and Travellers 2, which took place from 29th April to 8th May 2024.

Speaking at the certificate awarding ceremony held at Main Campus, Athi River, on March 4, 2025, the Director DRICE, Dr. Caroline Ayuya Muaka, confirmed that out of Travellers 2 alone, the University had produced six books, 10 book chapters, 22 articles published in high impact journals, 11 grant proposals, and 14 conference papers: 77 publications in total.

Dr. Ayuya revealed that the University had spent over Ksh10M in the two workshops, and that the result of the evaluation will help the University to plan for Travellers 3, proposed to take place in 2026.

Thirty-six Faculty who participated in Travellers 2 seminar, and their facilitators were awarded certificates during the Chapel service.
